Vaughn’s enemies would have included eight dinosaur species and four different types of military officers. A fictionalized version of Troodon with glowing eyes would have been featured in the game, and was later implemented into Jurassic Park: The Game (2011). Dinosaur AI was meant to be an integral part of the game; dinosaurs would be able to lure the main character into traps, hunt in packs, and retreat for reinforcements if needed.
The game would have featured 12 large levels, located in swamps, dense forests, huge caves and networks of tunnels, military outposts, a marina, a terrorist camp, jungles, a hatchery, and a large aviary used to house Pteranodon. The game’s dark cave level would involve Vaughn using a mining helmet equipped with lighting to find his way through. Players could proceed through the levels in any order, and a tram would have been used to transport Vaughn from one location to another. A driving mode was also planned, in which Vaughn could commandeer vehicles located throughout the island. In a canyon cliff level, Vaughn would be able to take control of an all-terrain vehicle as part of an ensuing chase through a dense jungle. In another instance, Vaughn would drive a Jeep being chased by a Tyrannosaurus.
Jurassic Park: Survival was to be played from a third-person perspective with David Vaughn, a member of a security team, as the main character. The game would have taken place on an island of genetically engineered dinosaurs. Gameplay was described as being similar to the Tomb Raider games. Chacko Sonny, a founder of Savage Entertainment, described the company’s goal on the gameplay as “Die-Hard meets Jurassic Park”. In its preview video, gameplay appeared similar to a survival horror game, with additional action-adventure elements such as climbing, crawling, rolling, shoot rolling, jumping and swimming, as well as other platforming strategies to outwit the dinosaurs instead of trying to take them head on.

Rather than not addressing the questionable aspects of the creature collecting genre, Palworld amusingly leans into them and lets you do absurd things like pick up your fiery fox Pal and use it as a flamethrower to burn your enemies to a crisp, or equip your monkey Pal with a machine gun (which sure beats using Tail Whip). Once you get over how incredibly weird that all feels, it’s a complete blast.
That said, there are areas where the work of maintaining your bases requires far too much grinding to keep up with. For example, the near-constant need for ore, which is used in dozens of vital recipes, becomes increasingly cumbersome the longer you play as you start consuming massive amounts of the material. Instead of being able to fully automate the process of harvesting and refining this resource like you can do with wood and stone, you have to stop what you’re doing regularly to farm some ore and turn it into ingots just to fuel your basic needs. One of the most constant uses for ore is to craft Palspheres, which are used at a rapid pace as you try to catch increasingly powerful Pals with very low capture rates – and since some sphere recipes require five ingots to create a single one, I found myself halting my adventures for 20 minutes to grab a ton of ore to build spheres, then running out again an hour later, forcing me to start the process all over again. Here’s hoping they’ll add more advanced options to automate some of this stuff later on, because for the time being there’s far too much manual work required just to get back out in the field putting your Pals to good use.

Open world pokemon game
The gameplay felt so fast and respectful of a player’s time, allowing one to quickly catch multiple Pokémon at a time and then whip around into a battle. It was liberating but not quite the perfect game fans were hoping for.
Since the revelation of exploring the Kanto region in Pokémon Gold/Silver, the idea of an expansive world full of monsters and adventures has been firmly rooted in the minds of fans. While other Nintendo franchises pushed into new concepts or fine-tuning mechanics, Pokémon has stayed relatively the same and has taken fewer risks with mainline entries despite having spinoff titles in a multitude of genres. Yet, we could finally be seeing a shift in design thanks to the roaring acclaim around Pokémon Legends: Arceus, a title that pulled elements from open-world games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and even blended in a little Monster Hunter for good measure.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus was nominated for several end of the year awards; it was nominated for Best RPG at The Game Awards, as well as nominated for Game of the Year by GamesRadar, GamingBolt, The Washington Post, Empire, VGC, GamesHub, and Polygon.
As they had a different gimmick, and didn’t truly feel like a regular Pokemon game. Now Crystal Clear is probably the best you are going to get actually in this front, as it truly is an open world version of PKMN Crystal. However what you gain in openness you lose in story.
There are small Pokemon running around everywhere. There are big ones, too, sometimes filled with red-eyed rage (and you have to figure out how to battle them, or calm them down). There are natural items to pick up that can be crafted into potions and other items. I can ride Pokemon, including one that carries me quickly like Breath of the Wild’s horse. I can’t climb cliffs as easily, but I’m already finding myself wandering to corners of the vast map, looking for surprises that might be there.
