Which time the world series game today
Yankees: RHP Clarke Schmidt (5-5, 2.85 ERA in the regular season)Schmidt will make his third career postseason start and his first in the World Series. https://pgmobiles.com/jamie-foxx-s-recovery-a-return-to-form/ He tossed 4 2/3 innings of two-run ball in each of his first two outings this October, taking no-decisions against the Royals and Guardians. Schmidt pitched to a 4.50 ERA in eight home starts during the regular season, compared to a 1.39 ERA in eight road outings.
Amen to that. To live up to a working week’s worth of hype is no small feat. But the Dodgers and Yankees — the No. 1 seeds in the National and American Leagues who are clashing in the Fall Classic for the first time in 43 years — played a Game 1 very much worth the wait.
Against loaded lineups, Yankees ace Gerrit Cole and Dodgers trade acquisition Jack Flaherty — both of whom grew up rooting for the teams they now suit up for — managed to mount a rare starting pitchers’ duel in the midst of an especially bullpen-oriented October.
It was a 62% increase over last year’s first game between the Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks. The Rangers’ 6-5 win over the Diamondbacks in 11 innings averaged 9.35 million, and was the least-viewed Game 1 on record.
The Yankees are up against it now. Only 15 teams in 92 tries have won a best-of-seven postseason series in which they dropped the first two games. And so, as their Game 3 starter Clarke Schmidt takes the ball opposite the Dodgers’ Walker Buehler, they’re going to need to feed off the energy of a hungry crowd that hasn’t seen a World Series home game in the Bronx since the Yanks’ 2009 title run.
New world game
New World Aeternum releases on Tuesday October 15 and will replace the current version of New World. Much like Overwatch and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the original New World will cease to exist once Aeternum arrives.
But I have to go back to my earlier question: why now? While New World has seen resurgences around Rise of the Angry Earth and various Steam sales, this all feels very sudden. The Aeternum announcement has led to a review bombing campaign, implying that this revamp is just not what diehard players wanted – especially when you factor in the added cost of the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion, which is required to play Aeternum.
A well thought out design choice is the freedom players have to build their character to their own liking. Not being tied to your initial choice of starting archetype means you have the flexibility to try different weapons and skills.
